... Casa Brancas to the Rua das Pedras and walk past the statue of Bardot into the town where the shops, bars, restaurants, nightlife and boat jettys are located. Or you can just stay and sunbathe by the pool, gazing over the bay. An effortlessly stylish place, but still very much a friendly pousada. I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else

Pools and waterfalls everywhere! Beautiful, exotic flora everywhere! Beautiful artwork everywhere!

Everything inside and out is made with natural materials such as bamboo, coconut, stone.....absolutely beautiful.

After being disappointed and let down yesterday on Elisha's Birthday, today the weather was fine and our taxi picked us up on time. We set off in the stinking heat of the sweltering taxi, with all 5 of us (our English friends Ollie and Luke) and us, plus the driver, with his boring music...not a great rev up for the flight ahead. ... up to our feet. It was cloudy this morning and there seemed to be more wildlife. We saw a caterpillar coming out of its pupa (I think) and then a tarantula on the path! Keith took a quick photo and was going to take another when a park ranger came up, got a branch, and swept it into the undergrowth. Then he checked the watebins and carried on down the path, checking all the wastebins as he went. They obviously donīt want to lose too ...
