        - Machu Picchu is one of those OMG sites. Spectacular surrounding scenery, unbelievable stories of how it must have been built and why. Another example of how did we lose all that knowledge they possessed at the time to do what they did? Definitely worthy of a visit. And a good entertaining book ...

        Arrived in Seattle

A travel blog entry by wholc3 on Oct 20, 2014

We got off the plane, grabbed our **** and made our way to the light rail. It took us into Westlake where we got off and tried to navigate our way to our first airbnb accommodation. We tried to get hassled by a dude trying to sell CDs again, we successfully got away. He didn't understand some of the Australian that I was saying. Another beautiful day in Seattle, apparently a little unusual for Seattle... So we got so lucky.
We could see all the mountains around with snow/glaciers. So exciting. Nev reckons we will see a lot more mountains with snow in Canada!(what a spoil sport). I am sure he is correct.....
The Boeing Factory was amazing, we saw 5, B747's being built, freighter aircraft now.(side by side). ...
