... As we'd opted to travel second class, the bus took it's time and stopped a lot. Not a problem for us, but it meant we didn't reach Merida until 6pm.

... a bus for the usual cheap price of MX$122 for a route that went via a detour and would take 8 hours in total. The route went via Tuxtla and Villahermosa and included a stop at a small village in the middle of the countryside where we had a cheap lunch of pulled pork tacos for Stu and grilled marinated pepper tacos for me, both of course served with lashings of salsa verde!

... The guy catched up and we followed the group to the safety stop. The sharks still below us. We think that everybody was happy getting back on the boat safely! :-)

... for you. It was terrific! The quesadillas came with guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo It was quite yummy. two pieces for each of us. I inhaled my first piece and after having a few mozza balls and marina I started in on my second piece of quesadilla, however two bites in it got extremely spicy. I think they were hiding jalapenos in it. Bryce finished it off for me =)

... and explored. The dull reefs made it easy to spot the amazing brightly coloured fish and I was mesmorised swimming amongst all the different patterns and colours. Once the dive was finished and we ascended safely, getting into the boat was exhausting. I now had to lug all that weight up a ladder with tiny thin rungs that almost broke my feet in half, plus the added burden of the wet equipment dragging me back down into the sea, but I managed to fight it with a helping ...
