Frederick will be spending time at Golden Lake Camp this year. He will be taking part in the Leadership Development Camp which is for people ages 16 to 18. eadership-development-camp/

Frederick will the opportunity to go on a canoe trip and have a service day in Ottawa. The camp is met to build his leadership skills.

Heading back west again today we came upon roads travelled before with the intention of coming back through Algonquin park to see if we could see more wildlife. We stopped in Barry's Bay for lunch and then decided to stay for a couple of nights in park. We found the Riverside Cottages again and booked in this time into a cottage by the river. The first cottage was very pleasant but sadly managed to flood the bathroom and the lounge when the toilet blocked. ...

... in Ontario. In its glory days of steam engines it was right next to the Railway Station. The outdoor museum also showcases railway and historical farm equipment which is rusting away. Over the road from the Railway Station is the original Railway Hotel now the Balmoral Hotel and it is for sale if you want to buy it.

Feeling hungry now went to the Baykery and Diary Freeze & Grill for an ice-cream but didn't have enough cash need ...

... on the signs advertising the special offers and quite popular it seems are Garden Mums. I have no idea what a Garden Mum is, apparently they come in various sizes 6" or 12" and can be obtained 3 for 2 in most garden centres. We discussed this for many miles, what could they be? Perhaps small gnome like statues dressed in a pinny holding an apple pie? A babushka like doll where several fit inside each other? And then a new development ...

... in small towns survive either tourism or repairing the roads as this is an ongoing thing seeing the snow plough trucks dig up bits of the road in winter to remove the snow and ice then put salt on the ice to melt it.

Finally entering the area of Barry's Bay as we approach Carson Lake where Cabins, Resorts are and homes along the highway. Not sure where Barry's Bay Cottage Resort is till we find the Information Centre which we found out is closed on ...
