So ok the train leaves at 05:55 (is it too early for what does the 'ohh' stand for, probably) we got up at 03:45 (gives time to get ready). Down to reception for 04:30 and send the boy running to get a taxi not bad he's back in minutes and we are on our way to the station easy 12km, 100 baht so thank the driver and tip he's happy it's early he's made his first fare of the day. Louise queued for the tickets the name of the destination 'Aranyapraathet' so ...

We ended the day with another public ferry boat down the Chao Phraya River, with Wat Arun lit up behind us, passing the fancy riverfront hotels, and were even treated to a small fireworks display (perhaps again for the King’s birthday celebrations).

It was only two stops with the Skytrain and easy enough to find. I noted down the opening times and went back to Asok station to check out the ...

... dramatically and have very little tolerance for it. Stuart has witnessed me many a time get into a hot car and more or less panic, trying to take off as many layers as I can as quickly as I can. I hear my brother tends to drop most of his clothes the minute he comes in the door in the fall or winter to a warm house.

Stuart notices the man unabashedly leaning forward in his seat and full on LOOKING – he surreptitiously reaches over ...

... told me off "no lie down". Really? A park in which you can sit but can't lay down? Parks are not the Thai's strong suit. I gave up on parks and instead went to a restaurant I had spied earlier than had chicken massaman. Being my favourite Thai dish, I was obliged to try it in Thailand. It panned out, entirely by accident, that I had just enough cash to pay for dinner. I initially forgot about the service tax that is noted at the bottom of the menu, so I had to order my meal without ...
