... is Laung Po To - made in 1344. Back to cool van to go to an incredible Unesco World Heritage site of Ayutthaya - the ruins of "an ancient capital founded in 1350 by King U-Thong from where the Siamese ruled their Kingdom for 417 years. Stunning ruins, too hot to last long but impressive to say the least. And then our "treat"!! And of course we got the "Momma" elephant - smaller so we wobbled more than big "Poppa" Ellie.. :). I was ok with riding them because all the $$ goes to ...

Sundays. Possibly the most devastating day of the week. It's the day before Monday, which is bad enough, and in being so it means you can't really do anything because you obviously need to relax before going back to work. It's a wasted day, an unproductive and torturous day. Okay, so it probably isn't that bad, but, anxious to return to work tomorrow, Sunday doesn't feel so great today. We found the bus stop and were there for 15 minutes when a couple, who seemed to be about our age, approached us about a bus they were trying to catch. This struck up a conversation and we learned that the girl was from Poland and ...

So its Bangkok time, we grab a minibus that cost 150B each to Bangkok. Just shows how much we got ripped off from the big bus company, when we had to grab a taxi here! Cheeky beggers!! We get dropped off at the bus station at victory monument and from there to our hostel 'POD' should be an easy 10min walk. Except we ran out of 3G and Conans mapping skills were a little off, plus we managed to ask 2 people and both sent us in the wrong direction.. At this ...

The big surprise, Christmas, New Year, seeing all of our family and friends and even the novelty of going back to work. The 6 weeks back in England was great to say the least. But with darkness by 4pm, temperatures hovering around freezing, the tan we had gained lost and the weight we had lost gained it was time get back to the other side of the world and continue our adventure. Back to Bangkok, Thailand one of our favourite cities. After the normality and cold of London ...
