A Day Trip from Prague

It was overcast as we left the station in Prague and stayed that way in Olomouc where it rained for a little while.
Our main aim in going to Olomouc was mostly to see a different region of Czech Republic (Moravia) rather than to see anything specific and Olomouc sounded like an easy day trip to do just that.

Olomouc
... people. This is a university town, and I've been told that they make up the lions share of the population when they return, but this is still the height of summer, with hardly a tourist in sight. With only one hostel in town it could be a potential place to set up a business, as Olomouc is not going to stay secret for very long. Try and see it before the word gets out.

The cushy seats and free treats didn't tip us off
We had originally planned to take a wine-tasting tour in Moravia, but we're terrible at planning, so we didn't. We decided to take the train to Olomouc instead. Of course, we were out late the night before, so getting to the train station on time was a bit of a struggle, but we made it to a train.
