I was mostly impressed with how hilly it was, I had not gotten the sense that there was much of any topography from the pictures on Google maps, but the town has a fair amount of vertical. ... a quite night in the hotel eating soup and drinking tea than hang out with us any longer. :) We couldn't stand to be couped up with the boys anymore, so with the sun finally shining we took a walk. Went to airport but to visit travelex. Heading towards Auschwitz and trying to keep of the highways, had lots of breaks and from the road. Went looking for a camp site but it was closed so found a very nice and friend hotel half way up the mountains. They only spoke Czech and Germany so with my best German ( a large beer or chips and mayo) I booked my self in ...
... a lovely room set up for us on the second floor ( 3 flights of stairs) but unfortunately it did not have a kettle or fridge as promised. This was the hotel building, but we had to move to their uber-modern pension a few door down. While it wasn't as quaint, it did have the amenities and an elevator. And there was an amazing floor lamp that had a remote colour wheel control that could turn the room just about any colour you wanted.

Supper tonight was really good - a couple of people had pig's knuckles which tasted divine (I had pasta with chargrilled veg and supposedly spicy sausage but couldn't taste it at all...am suspicious they didn't include it). Up early tomorrow so am off to bed (rather than going drinking).
