Tim had two weeks off over Christmas vacation, and after over 100 days on the road in 2014, was really looking forward to some serious down-time. We enjoyed Vienna's Christmas markets, hosted a small dinner party Christmas Eve and attended a lovely cocktail party Christmas evening. Above the castle were beautiful gardens, complete with perfectly trimmed hedges, large lawns and fountains. Very nice. We had just enough time to explore before the groundsman chucked us out at 7pm.

... were indeed two bears in the pit. I later learnt that this is a tradition from the first owners of the castle. Before heading back through the peaceful streets and getting slightly lost due to the few street lights around I headed into a bar that was at the back of shall way which turned out to be either parts of the castles foundations or rocks of the hill the castle sits on. It was a very quant bar and a very nice way to end a trained filled dayAs I was heading to Prague in ...
