... Ben who is absolutely hilarious, he is just naturally one of the funniest people I've ever met, as is our bus driver Lukas. After a rough morning they certainly brightened my day. At around 9 o'clock we started our BusAbout tour. After a brief introduction and ice breakers to get to know everyone, we made our first stop of the day in Kutna Hora to visit the famous church made of human bones. I found this incredibly fascinating and really enjoyed my time ...

... stuffed with the famous Olomouc stinky cheese, and Laura's beef tenderloin wrapped around a pickle and an egg. The boys split a pork tenderloin, and could not have been happier (finally!). We forced them on another short walk back into the old town to look at the famous world heritage tower, and astronomical clock (if we can stop by tomorrow at noon to watch the clock work, we'll be happier - we only got to see the worker hit the bell ...

    A Hidden Gem

A travel blog entry by tritt-around on Jul 18, 2014

Began our Eurail Pass on the train to Olomouc. It is described as a hidden gem and when first arriving at the railway station the hidden part is obvious. Struggled to find a map and work out the tram tickets but got there in the end. Stephen went to meet Becky to save her the same hassles and we enjoyed a glass of red before looking for dinner. This town has a beautiful ...
