We left Prague and went to the main train station to buy a ticket to Krakow, Poland. I think it was an eight hour journey and we looked at each other and said 'not a chance'. So we get to Oloumouc late in the evening and go straight to a birthday party with a lot of student friends studying in the city.

A Day Trip from Prague

It was overcast as we left the station in Prague and stayed that way in Olomouc where it rained for a little while.
Our main aim in going to Olomouc was mostly to see a different region of Czech Republic (Moravia) rather than to see anything specific and Olomouc sounded like an easy day trip to do just that.
