        ... at an open section of river and he spent about 30mins looking at and investigating the rocks! We found one with incredible green streaks through it. We wanted to try some Slovenian cuisine so went for dinner at a cute little place called Strud'l. We had a huge feast of local specialities. It was delicious! We also tried their homemade tea and a crepe for dessert. So full! Very enjoyable ...

        Clear blue skies and very cold! We got ready to ride then drove to find somewhere to park for the day. Not an easy task in a touristy town like this! Anyway, we found a spot about 5km away in Bohinjska Bela, en route to lake Bohinj. We took Mats "short cut", aka wet, gravel, muddy, soggy autumn leaves, steep gradient.. For about 20km through the Slovenian national park with no map then realising we were going in a circle ...

        The morning saw lots of rain. We packed up and left camp around 11am and drove into Bled. We donned the waterproof hiking boots and wandered around the lake and town before stopping for a pizza (very Slovenian!). We also tried the famous Bled cream cake (kremna rezina).         We started the day with a run through the mountains. It was wet and muddy, lots of autumn leaves on the track, and some beautiful waterfalls along the way.
