Salzburg to Vienna
What a difference an Autobahn makes to a 300km trip. After another brekky of cold cuts, bread rolls and kaffee we headed off just after 10am. Straight onto the A10 and around the outside of Salzburg we were then quickly on our way to Vienna. Apart from some road works that had us slowing down to 80km ( …
... thought of you here. Wish you could've been here, you'd've soaked up so much more than I, including the free shots at the end! They had some Schnapps though, that has REAL gold leaf floating in it!! Cool! On to our very nice Hostel and schnitzel and chips for dinner, Mmmmm! While most of us didn't see anything that caught our eye, our new American friend Mitchell scored an antique pair of binoculars that he can take the next time he goes to an opera. Naturally, most of us only opened our wallets for the food – namely ice cream, pastries, and "doner ...
Lovely staff, great big clean room. We paid €46per night for a double in 2005, great value.
