The displays on the main floor mostly consisted of dishes, silverware, etc. so no reason to ban photos of those. It was slightly more crowded upstairs as there were a few small tour groups. It was a late night at The Prater, so we slept in a bit. So late that we were almost the last to eat breakfast in the dining room. The entire staff is very welcoming and accommodating here. They didn't seem to mind that we were so late. We picked a good hotel in Vienna.

We wanted to finish the Rick Steves walk today, then duck into some museums to avoid the heat. So after breakfast, we continued on. However, our troops were not liking ...

The next morning we managed to cram in a lot of sight seeing. We saw, in no particular order, the Museum Quatier (again!) the University, the Opera House, the Viennese Stephansdom, the Hofburg and ...

By 2pm we were at the Tourist Office and had found our guide but 5 mins after the tour began she cancelled the tour due to illness and refunded our money. So today has not been a huge success for tours.

This evening we went to the Ballet at the Vienna Opera House, the performance was Nurejew (Nueryev) Gala 2014. We had to pick up the tickets after 5pm for a 6pm start so arrived around 5.15 and collected ...
