Our last day in Vienna

A travel blog entry by tom.beccamarty

We headed out to find some treasures and got a kitchen cloth and a little box of coasters. We went to have sacher-torte at Sachers by the opera. While sitting outside at the cafe, we could here singing from the windows where they were practicing in the opera building. It was so lovely. We had walked by trying to figure out where the ...

Through the Alps and into History

We grabbed some breakfast from the station. Nice and cheap, thank you Praha. Our train was cool, through the countryside, Harry Potter-esque cabins. We arrived in Vienna about 11/12 ...

Louise conducted a symphony of bicycle bells, there was a limerick, some haiku, comb-playing and pot-beating and a skit. I ...

Day 6 - Vienna

A travel blog entry by andrewgw

Went early to the Imperial Furniture collection (Hofmobiliendepot). It turned out we were too early: it didn’t open until 1000 and we were there at about 0930. Ooops. Once we got in, we were the only people besides the staff for most of the time we were there. We ended up being very impressed. To lunch at the Naschmarkt – ...
