... remember the Cesky Krumlov photos. When we were her 20 years ago, NO ONE around the square spoke ONE word of English. Now it's a real tourist destination.
Castle tour tomorrow and graphite mine tour on Friday. Rain expected both days for both days.

... concert from our hotel room-this time harp and violin. At 5 we boarded our bus and visited a family outside of town. They live in a 16th century house that they are restoring. After a tour of the house and yard we were treated to tea and cookies and a violin concert! Back to town, dinner in a cave, our first authentic Budweiser beer (not the American variety) and off to bed.
... rafters drink of choice, provided by Milan, our guide. then he took us to a local microbrewery for some local beer and cheese as a substitute for our cancelled castle visit.
The day ended with dinner at a little Italian restaurant-pizza, salad, wine and gelato-a nice change from the heavy Czech food. We walked back under the gorgeous full moon, enjoying the night views of the castle

Cesky Krumlov is just delightful to wander around as while the streets are organised in an orderly way, they curve with the river and meander up and down the hills. As you do so, interesting buildings appear from around ...
... We passed the tower bell and then were out it the open. The view from the top was amazing. The autumn leaves mixed with the red roofs with the river surrounding the town was a beautiful sight. I was quite nervous about the boys being up there so I clung to their jumpers which they thought was quite funny.
Next we strolled through the castle grounds and out into the castle gardens. the kids enjoyed having a run around, hiding behind tall hedges ...
