All Hands Work Week 4
This was a crazy week at the site because we had an event with the Mayor and then a Senator came and had a volunteer day. Still, got a lot done besides the prep for events. On Tuesday I only had a half day because I had to get my Visa extended. Worked out perfectly because our private Jeepney was going to a hardware store nearby. HAN-AY Cagayan
... a local soccer tournament that we had some volunteers and workers sign up to play in. Went there, and in typical Filipino style played for about 24 minutes over 5 hours! Fortunately only a ten minute walk from home so I went back a few times. We picked up some full chickens to share. Just reach in and grab a piece! Since my life has been work, adventure, and sleep every second I can, I haven't written a proper blog about my feelings and things of that sort. I have been enjoying myself except for the food. At base the food got repetitive very quickly. Fortunately we go to downtown or the mall often. Not the best area but a great little hotel for a stop over between port and airport, £18 a night with breakfast. good choice of food. can get anywhere easily.
