... the backpackers budget but it only cost £40 and on the plus side I'm no longer a ginger ninja!!). The shops are great some lovely little boutiques. Perfect for a rainy day. Hermanus has a very safe vibe, i felt very comfortable walking around and didn't clutch my purse once! Result! Day two - 17th march - hermanus Today I went zip lining, it was great fun and for only 350 rand, you can't complain!! ... flammable. If you look into the mountains, you can see areas where mountain fires have occurred. A man told us that once a fire starts in the mountains, it burns for days.

We eventually arrived in Hermanus. It is not that far from Cape Town but because of our slow drive and stops, it took us most of the day to get there. ... the owner/skipper, Ken, commenced his briefing and gave us some interesting facts about the Southern Right Whale. On average they weigh 45 tons and they don't eat a thing for the 8 months they are off the coast of South Africa. ... and not always having the chance to say goodbye to the children with some of them being too young to understand, I don't know if they really get used to this. You can't help but notice that they do get attached to the teachers. Tomorrow, I will see them, probable for the last time and I don't know if and how to tell them goodbye.
