... turn back before I wanted so we could pack up to leave before we would have had to register for another day, but what we did hike was beautiful. Packing was much easier than setting up since it wasn't raining (although the wind still made folding things annoying), and then we left for home.

... to hike the rim trail from our camp. Right now I am enjoying my smoothie and the pleasant breeze. Today's big activity was was hiking the 3 1/2 mile Rim Trail. We started around 11:00 ish... It said it should take about 2hrs but it took us about 3. The first about mile was steep ups and downs. We finally made it to sunrise point.
