If you stay there, try to get one of the refurbished rooms in the main building or an executive room in the building across the road. the executive rooms are spacious, modern and clean. avoid pool side family rooms. they are crap. dirty, ugly, crap! we were lucky that ashley from reception was so helpful and changed our booking. very bad first impression. too bad, otherwise we would have given them 4 stars.

We took the unusual step and loaded our car up on a car ferry and headed across the sea to Kangaroo Island for a couple of days.

Seems like there is a rule here that all rental vehicles have to be white, this is our fourth white Toyota in a ...
... built from granite quarried close by by hand the hole known as Devils kitchen gulch. While the men were building the lighthouse they lived in tents. Must have been hell as this is the windiest place on the island that only gets a few hot days a year.. The keepers would row out to the anchored ships to bring supplies into this small cave. The only safe place around. Three families lived here and the men working in 3 shifts to keep the old oil lamps going and ...

After another huge day we were on our way home and decided to pop into a little bay (Stokes Bay) as we might not get to this part of the island again. Well what a great discovery! After such an awesome day we couldn't believe there was even more beauty on this island. The bay was pretty but it was when ...
