If you stay there, try to get one of the refurbished rooms in the main building or an executive room in the building across the road. the executive rooms are spacious, modern and clean. avoid pool side family rooms. they are crap. dirty, ugly, crap! we were lucky that ashley from reception was so helpful and changed our booking. very bad first impression. too bad, otherwise we would have given them 4 stars.

During the Christmas/New Year break we kept in touch with the Sydney to Hobart Yacht race, as Narelle (Tom's daughter) ...
... to have the beach almost to ourselves. We stopped and had a picnic lunch there overlooking the bay. Then we drove to a distillery owned and run in what looked like his shed. Had a couple of taster of his liqueurs and bought a delicious lime and ginger liqueur which because we cannot bring it back we will have to drink whilst we are here (Since we already have bought our allowance to take home!!) the owner was a lovely guy who had just been to London and met up ...
