There was a fair amount of snow on the side of the paths, I think the last dump they had was a massive one and has taken some time to thaw, so kobi and Chiara took the opportunity to pelt us with a few snowballs. Damn they hurt!!     ... ice-creams double-dipped in chocolate and smothered in almonds) to collect our cases, meet Deb and the boys, and grab a taxi to the airport, at which point I said goodbye.

    It was sad to go. It's been a great trip, and definitely one I would repeat, with perhaps just a few changes/additions. But really so amazing. And I had the added bonus of an upgrade on the flight home too, bringing the trip to the perfect conclusion!

    ... I had an "un-relinquished foreign residence", "financial solvency", a job I was returning to, and significant ties to my home country. Needless to say, I was dumbfounded!
