Das war ein sehr erlebnisreicher Reisestopp, dementsprechend wird der Eintrag ein wenig länger...Olympos ist ein Dorf an der Küste, welches umgeben von einem Mittelgebirge ist. ... and has a very relaxed atmosphere, plus great value! Here we have enjoyed a very relaxing time at the beach, searching the old ruins of Olympus, hiked some of the Lycian Way (550km hike which would be good to try some day) and also hiked to Chimaera where flames seep out of the earth - see the photos to believe it - they have a good legend also which I won't recount here.
That's about it for now, we're off to Kaş ...
... like the outside of any old building, but once you entered you were presented with an amazing example of a 1000 year old theatre.
Our last stop on this tour was the Dunden waterfall - spectacular !
We finished the day with a evening stroll through the city, one street we stumbled upon was Umbrella street (as seen on the amazing race) ...
... sleep in we woke up to go to the Antalya museum which I was did not have as high expectations as Jen did (if that is even possible) but when I got there was impressed by the history of just this region. It traces human existence with artefacts from the Stone Age to the 19th century and everything in between. From almost prehistoric frescoes and bone spears, to Flint spears, the rise of pottery, the copper age, Romans ...
