... back 'home', the stitching on the strap of one of his sandals simply gave up...and goodness me, those sandals were only about 10 years old too!!!) (We didn't find anything until the end of the day when we passed a huge shopping centre outside the tourist areas. For about $30, Michael has a great new pair of leather sandals - or perhaps they are really vinyl? )

We meandered through the narrow cobbled streets and alley ways of the old town, finding our way back to ...

... We also took a moment to discuss the results of our German citizen interviews. It seemed that most of our interviewees were pleased with their health care. After breakfast Mum and Dad had some business to take care of so me and Brig watched stuff on the iPad. When they were finished we went for a walk to see the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers building. It was about 10 mins walk away and on the way ...

I knew Prague was going to be awesome the moment we got off the bus, little did I know just HOW awesome it would be...

We arrived at the hostel mid-afternoon to smiling faces, refreshing drinks being handed out as we stepped off the bus, and being pleasantly surprised when we realised that we had been upgraded for free to a six bed dorm instead of sleeping in an eight bed dorm (doesn't sound like much but two people really make a difference!). Fantastic start in my opinion!
