... the window. It was a classy moment you know. On the way back down I passed a little bird feeding station that was just crawling with squirrels. There was a little baby there which was very cute and I seem to have developed a little obsession with taking pictures of squirrels, so I stayed there snapping them until my fingers went numb (with the cold - not the number of pictures taken). ... groups alongside former forces organisations, the local police and fire brigades. Several schools were represented either with their own "military" section or at least a marching band complete with uniforms, twirling batons and martial music. The odd 'military' group did seem dedicated to a portrayal of either the Pilgrim Fathers' era or the Civil War, and we had one sighting of a 'float' named Santa Maria, with two characters who might have been Christopher Columbus ...

... miles per year and fire. So each year they tow it out into the harbor, it fires a twenty-one gun salute, and then they return it to its mooring spot but in reverse so the ship weathers evenly. Unfortunately, our hour ride back to the campground was more like an hour and forty-five minutes. Did I mention my thoughts on traffic!?! It was then time to relax by the fire in our favorite chairs! ... Bridge, up to Bunker Hill (actually Breed's Hill), and by the USS Constitution. We toured the ship which was very nicely setup for tourists.
