      ... the Palm Springs area about 30 flight miles away, on the other side of the Santa Rosa mountains. Notice the bright clouds over there. Our Inn isn't so dark sky, the winding driveway is lit with a couple dozen marker lights that flow light in all directions, not just toward the ground - the two bright lights in the foreground are marker lights. We are hoping that Joshua Tree national park, later tonight, will be much darker and the Milky Way can easily be seen from the tent. ...

      ... the necessary materials up the mountain themselves. Their desire was to move away from the hustle and bustle of the modern life then and life very primitively. Anyway, they eventually ended up in divorce after having three children at this homestead. You will see what is left over of this house in the pictures below. Anyway, this hike was fairly easy.       ... because as soon as we drove to the end of "Yacht Club Drive," Pete immediately put the car in reverse and got us out of there.

      Once we got back to the hotel, I realized that it was a terrible idea to wear a skirt in a convertible on a mini road trip through the desert. My entire body was so sunburned! We got back to the hotel, Pete patted me down with vinegar and aloe vera, and we ordered Thai delivery so we could heal our skin in the more casual environment of our room.
