We left the city that never sleeps while it was sleeping. Yep, there's about 20 mins between 4.45 and 5.05am on Tuesdays when all except Aussie tourists and limo drivers are awake. ... the town dead ends into 12,000 foot peaks. I want to live here. I am staying with a friend on the edge of the valley overlooking the small town. We skiing today for closing day and the experience was something straight out of a 1980's Warren Miller movie. Pond skim competition, people wearing crazy costumes, music everywhere, and good vibes.

We leave for New Orleans in a couple days, but I am stoked to spend the few days here.

... I wasn’t wowed by my food though, it just wasn’t that flavorful to me. For dessert I stopped at Baked in Telluride and got an M&M cookie. I then finished my evening with one last gondola ride up the mountain to see the town below.
