    ... took us to Waterbury, where regrettably we didn't have time today to do the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory Tour. Maybe tomorrow? Then northwards to the leafy and exclusive surroundings of Stowe, a ski resort for much of the year and home to some very swanky homes and clubs. Our motel has a beautiful setting by the river among trees and a cut above yesterday's poorish stopover. Supper at Gracie's in Stowe and back to bed and more medication. ...

    Just doesn't get any better than starting your day by going to a Ben & Jerry's factory and tasting ice cream. What a success story. We really enjoyed the tour of the factory. I was surprised to learn they freeze all of the ingredients before they put them in the ice cream. If they would not do that, the items would just blend in with the ice cream. Our sample was a caramel ice cream with caramel and chocolate swirls ...

    ... Bluff which is supposed to have a great views looking back towards the mountain, Echo Lake, and Mount Lafayette. Not so much, too many trees. Oh well. ;o)

    As we bid Vermont farewell we reflect upon the incredible beauty of this area and the state has made some incredibly smart choices in order to keep the “Green Mountain State” beautiful. They do not allow billboards.

    Onward to New York and the Adirondack Mountains!
