When walking to one of the gates you can feel the fall breeze and smell the fair food. Day 51. New Hampshire Today we journeyed across White Mountain - but not before we did a ten mile loop to bring us back to the beginning. We learnt how maple syrup is produced and even saw some maple farms. Apart for the magnificent drive and scenery, the highlight of the day was a stunning two mile walk through Flume Gorge. We are completely fogged in today and you can't see the mountains at all. Yesterday it unfortunately rained all day and we had a hailstorm in the evening so we couldn't go on the auto road up to Mount Washington or do much of anything outside.
