    Wonderful place. Great location, very friendly, and their afternoon teas for residents (tea, cakes, sherry) is such a lovely touch.

    Wonderful day seeing the sight of San Francisco. We woke up early, or rather had trouble sleeping after about 3:00 in the morning due to travelling for about 11 hours and change in time. Still we both felt OK and decided to just set off straight after breakfast.

    ... It was a bit choppy and I wasn't sure my soup was going to stay down but fortunately it did. The cruise took us under the Golden Gate Bridge which Phillip really enjoyed. We then around Alcatraz and finally back to the pier. Even though it was a bit rough it was a great cruise.

    ... and lots of pine trees/for trees. 8am til 10 am - until Placerville. Then it was downhill fast! Shingles was 1,423 ft; El Dorado Hills was 622ft (at 10.15 am). Then 76ft at Rancho (?) at 10.36; and 25ft at 10.44.

    ... and half what we paid yesterday Booked an SUV, called the bell boy and then checked out. Had a debate about Internet charges but won the argument and saved $105. Off in the SUV at 12:30 and headed to the airport for our 16:30 BA 248 flight to London, Heathrow Airport. Checkin was interesting.... Reminded attendant we were One World Qantas Frequent Flyers and he said ok, two bags each, so avoided all excess baggage charges, another saving this time $200, ...
