First stop Jellystone RV Park, Cave City, KY.
Not many campers in campground so where
do they put us, right next to another camper. Called office and they told we could move to any other site just let them know where we moved to.
Not a bad campground, kind of hilly but lots of room to move around.
Drove 383 miles today.
... to the interstate
The worst part of this trip is north of Indy when we leave the interstate and take Route 31. Last year it was under construction and this year it still is with bumpy roads and traffic lights at every intersection but we finally made it.
It’s been a great weekend with my family. We stomped around Lost River Caverns, went to the Farmers’ Market, to a t-ball game (can we talk about how entertaining t-ball games are?), and had a few cookouts. I don’t get to Kentucky nearly often enough, so it was wonderful to spend time with my sister and her husband and two of my nephews and their wives and their families.
... one-way streets, so it took me a while to find a place to park downtown. Once I did, however, I really enjoyed walking around. There's a great greenspace in the center of town that has fountains, sculptures, and - thanks to the hills - performance spaces. It’s tricky to photograph due to the hills (and also because of a tractor-trailer parked in the middle on a cross street and blocking all the views!) but it’s really cool. I also appreciated ...
... so busy. I'm changing lanes to make sure I get I-65 north more than a few times. I didn't soil myself but I sure gave the ole sphincter a workout. It really was crazy. Glad I know Car really well and again glad I could "punch" it when needed. Well maybe not "punch it" but at least give it a little "poke". :-) When things calmed down a bit I was entering Kentucky. Good cause I'm pooped.
