... flasks, one for soup, one for tea. He also carried Maggi. We were so happy to see him. Hot soup and Maggi kept us going till about 6 pm, when the sun began going down and it became even colder.

... our bad start, the grounds of the hotel were lovely, with amazing views over the Zanksar Range, and beautiful flower and veggie filled gardens. I spent quite a bit of time sitting in the glorious sun, reading my book and fiddling around with my photos. Apart from our initial teething problems, we had a lovely, relaxing time in Leh. ... and head to the camels, which are lazing in the sun. Then it is our time to get on the camels. Mine and Lizettes get on like old chums. They can be seen chatting at the end of the ride together in one of the photos.

After a seriously long ride of 1/2 hour we are starving and thirsty but nothing is open, so we had to walk back to the main road and hope we get picked up by a passing car. Which after a while we did. never before has chop suey and fresh lime soda tasted soooo good.
