I would just say ok. Staff were great and tourist people were helpful. But nothing happened there. Everyone just slept and left. I went to other hostels where all backpackers were chilling together watching films etc but not here unfortunately. Your either in ur rom or out the hostel

      Old Thai proverb...

"If man walks through door at airport sideways, he is going to Bangkok!"

An oldie but a goodie - I know.

For starters sorry for the delayed updates. But if im taking long to update my blog its because im having the time of my life. Or really hungova ;)

Arriving in Bangkok, getting out the cab on Khao San road buzzing to meet up with Smithy!! Immediately all the locals flocked to me. They were hassling me for money. Ran up to the room and …

get comfortable, this is a long one

... As I stated before, I was not in a mood to party. I had gotten word about the kid's death somewhere around 10am and now it was well ...

Thailand heading for another military coup?

... through Saturday. This situation resembles the last go-around of a coup, so this might happen again within the next 48h. It was pretty much a non-event the last time. The pro-Government groups (aka red shirts) declared that they would take a stand and fight this time. Let's hope cooler heads prevail and things settle down quickly. As I guess in most cases, the news coverage makes it sound a lot ...

... we walked into the government buildings area where a lot of demonstrations have been taking place recently, there was not much going on there, but the place was still occupied by protesters. The protesters weren't really bothered about us, some of them seemed pleased to see us and were friendly, we walked around for a bit and then left. During the time we visited, big preparations were being made in Bangkok (especially in the Sanam Luang park which we visited ...
