... need to climb 811 steps (I didn't). I was taking pictures of a sculpted wall when a Chinese couple were there too, the woman was happy to stay there whilst I took a photo of her. Early alarm at 7 and breakfast in the restaurant. Our tour leaves at 8:45 Off and on our way to Ciji Palace which was around 25 mins or so away it was ok but a big part of it was under renovation and closed, plus our tour guide, a young and friendly Chinese girl was absolutely useless as a tour guide, her first time :-(. it didn't help that all the exhibits only had information in Chinese which wasn't much help as she didn't know much as well. ... sense when the mentality of everyone around you is "if I don't get on the bus I'll die." In the end everyone in my group made it on the bus and got a good lesson in Chinese city culture.
