... Our last school day started with a pelota tournament. Last year the big sport on campus was basketball. Somehow this year the shift was made to playing baseball. It's hard for me to believe because these kids seem like they've been playing since they've been walking. They are very skilled, and their natural fitness with the ball is amazing to watch. So of the rules in the playing field were different than what were used to: we play on the basketball court, bases are a pile ...

Running on the beach in 30 degrees heat and 90% humidity is hard work!!!

I can only run on the weekend and it is tough running on the sand but I am glad that I can run ...

... is the Death of Happiness". I realized how true this was hours after my roommate left for the US for a month .Out of boredom, I flipped on the cable TV--which I had been reluctant to admit existed, out of fear of neglecting my studies completely. About 45 minutes in I started to feel a little bit anxious and sad about my life. I am turning 29 and I don't have a car in my name, or a credit card. I do not own a house, and the largest paycheck I have ever pulled in was when I was ...

... lining at a Monkey habit, followed by some up close time with the monkeys. This was terrifying and exhilarating all at the same time, mostly because I don't seem to be very good at Zip-lining.

All in all, the vacation was everything we wanted/expected out of our first time leaving the country on an all inclusive. I would definitely go back, knowing I would have an even better time with the knowledge I gained. Travel Cherry ...
