... along the shore we found a place where lots of people seemed to be looking down at the ocean. The smell was terrible! Turned out it was sea lions that were sunning themselves, along with the birds that were hanging around waiting for leftover fish.



Further up the beach we stopped again and enjoyed a panoramic view of the ocean.

Day 9. This morning I woke in sunny downtown San Diego and walked to a quaint little coffee shop with Laura for breakfast before she went off to class for a few hours. ... as the Giant Dipper Roller-coaster, Beach Blaster, Control Freak and Octotron. These rides provide a higher excitement and thrill and would be better suited for teenagers and older people because of their intensity. Overall Belmont Amusement Park provides rides for all ages with many different price passes that are affordable for students.

... us a fortune in cabs- and don't forget about tips! The zoo is so big! First order once everyone arrived was a zoo bus tour. This takes you all around to give you an idea of where everything is, and narrated by the lovely driver. It gave us a chance to see some of the animals that are usually hiding during the day- they know their feed times and wait for their keepers - so we got to see some grizzlies in the morning that weren't out by the time we got back - you get the drift ...
