... but it was funny and they love to say 'cheers' which we said a lot! The next day we trekked back on the road where it was absolutely tipping it down with rain and looked forward to a hot shower and coffee. Arriving back exhausted we treated ourselves to a 4 course meal that was less than $5. I'm so glad we did as we were about to cross the border into Laos and didn't eat for 31 hours. I'll save that story for another time though! Right now I'm off to enjoy my last day in ...

The sleeper train arrived in Bangkok at around 7am, so we were woken up by the train officer at 5.45, which wasn't fun. We had breakfast with the rest of our group before going to the hotel. My head phones aren't working

... t work she threw it down on the seat beside her. Eventually she started a movie then complained to Battery Boy that her head phones weren't working but the screen was indicating the volume was up to the maximum level.

"Have you plugged them in?" Plug them in! Ohh that's better.


Three hours in transit at Bangkok airport then onto the plane for a twelve and a half hour flight to Madrid.

... But sometimes life isn't meant to be easy. A helpful woman tells us it's 3 km to the Khao San Road! 3 km is nothing but when you have a backpack weighing 15 kg strapped to your back and it's 34 degrees, it's a bit of a struggle;) After only 1 wrong turn and asking several people we finally got to our hotel at 9 pm. ... into the sky bar and of course no flip flops for Paige even though she was in a blue dress so we were turned away to go and buy some shoes which was fine until our card wouldn't take any money out of the ATM so now have no way of buying the shoes or money to get home if the taxi doesn't turn up in 2 hours! With this we find out that you can only use your card in an ATM twice a day with a Caxton Card - when did they ever say this but we could buy in store up to 20 times so ...
