I spent the whole day in the hospital getting blood while Renee packed up the last of the things we are carrying onto the plane. She also typed up packets of information for our friends, family and neighbors who are caring for our house and dog. ... day we went early on down to the French Quarter and did all the classic New Orleans activities: We got muffulettas at the Central Grocers, beignets and chicory coffee at Cafe du Monde, and blackened shrimp po boys at Red Fish. The music was AMAZING. Rebirth Brass Band blew my mind as always as well as Chief Bo Dallis.
