We left Black Lake today and headed toward Vermont. We didn't make it.
We did, however, drive through the Adirondacks and somehow managed to drive into the bike portion of an Ironman race. No, I mean we drove into it! Imagine how those guys on bikes felt after swimming for 2.4 miles, then trying to ride their bikes for 112 miles, only ...

Next we visited the North Pole & Santa's Workshop before heading to Lake Placid to see the lake & the Olympic Village!! It was another crazy day!!
Today we stayed close to the trailer & since it has warmed up to 82 degrees, we went swimming in Lake ...

We tried a craft beer place called Great Adirondacks Brewery that had award winning stouts and ales. We also ate at Smokey’s BBQ place. The name doesn’t give the place the credit it deserves. It was very upscale and we sat on a balcony overlooking Mirror Lake. Kelsey made friends with an older (lesbian?) couple at the ...

... in mid-June. The first job was to unpack and put away. Then Dad and I went down and put in the dock- several eight-foot sections of two or three 2x8’s on posts which were set in the sand bottom. Once that was done, we went down to the boathouse and got a canoe, a rowboat and an Adirondack guideboat. This latter was a unique craft made out of mahogany, I think... double-ended like a canoe with two sets of oars and oarlocks. When you got ...
