... Chaco Shoes, ExOfficio Underwear, and fishing pants! The chacos were helpful footwear during portages (much better than Crocs or flipflops). The underwear made by ExOfficio dries very quickly and I can't say enough good things about the brand (if you don't like a sweaty butt... buy some of these underwear!!). Any type of fishing pants are a must! They dry very quickly and you can zip off the bottoms to turn them into shorts. The trip was much more pleasant experience ...

... a wonderful morning. It was a foggy day, with lots of moisture in the air, at times hard to tell if it was spray from the falls or drizzle from the sky. In the end, love the way the falls show through the mist in the photos.

Saturday 27th September

Today we had a trip across the border into Cook County, Minneapolis and visited the pretty Lake side resort of Grand Marais. It's about 80 miles south along route 61 and took us about an hour and a half. I had to buy a 30 day visa at the border which cost $6.
