We made it to Sacramento. The point most south of Seattle we are visiting. From now on we are working our way north. We were a little late this morning leaving at 8:45, but drove directly to our campground. Which is like a ghost town. No staff, no people. As nobody was there we decided to visit Sacramento first. ... charming American from Cleveland who was also on 'vacation' as they like to call it. We ended up walking round the railroad museum together, and found the 'Pony Express' statue, which was how mail used to be delivered back in the day. On entering the museum we had a cute tour by a man named Al who must have been nearly 90. I wouldn't have been surprised if he'd built half the trains in that museum! What a hero.
