... bus naar het nabijgelegen McLeod Ganj, waar de Dalai Lama in ballingschap woont, samen met een grote Tibetaanse gemeenschap. En dat was te merken aan de sfeer die er hing. Het plaatsje ademde een bepaalde rust uit die we ook elders in de Himalaya ervaren hadden. Wandelen in een paar kleine dorpjes in de omgeving, het heerlijke Tibetaabs eten en elke morgen een uurtje mediteren in een Boedhistisch tempelcomplex. zorgden ervoor dat we deze rust zelf snel overnamen.

About 5pm, Anurag turned up and took me on a motorbike tour of Nainital. Lots of pretty lakes and lush himalayan greenery. At this point, I was feeling really cheerful that finally, I had met an honest bloke in India and was being genuinely looked after, isn't this nice etc. etc.

This is only a short blog entry, but I thought it was necessary all the same. Yesterday I went on my first expedition into the Corbett Reserve. Before I go on, I will let you know that no, i did not see a Tiger. I thought I would be different and not leave it or build some sort of suspense throughout this entry and be upfront. ... of a sudden here it is. After quite a steep climb appears the steps to a platform and a simple special doorway into the cave. We take our shoes off and head in. Theres a small altar at the back and we all sit down and meditate for about half an hour. It feels very special here, unfortunately I get pins and needles in my legs and they actually go numb!
