Six months into the "real world", I found myself newly single. Now this is a perfectly acceptable time to wallow in your heartbreak, eat lots of ice cream, cry, and listen to John Mayer, there's nothing wrong with that. But it can also be seen as an opportunity. We are now in farm or corn country. "Amber ...

Today I was awake at five, but it was in bed till 8. As I slept in the bedroom, and the other three in the mains, I happily lazed in my bedroom whilst they slept, trying to catch up on so many lost hours of sleep. By 10:00, we were ready to head into Chicago to check out what was to see. Anson wasn't keen to take to 36foot (13m) RV into Chicago, and good thing too, traffic is ...

... us. We finally found a small hole to descend through, right when I was about to file an IFR flight plan and shoot an instrument approach. Dropping below the clouds, we could see countless miles of green farmland, mostly corn and wheat. With the strong wind blowing out of the northwest at 20 to 30 knots, we could clearly see "waves" on the fields of grain that looked more like an endless green ocean, stretching from horizon to horizon.
