... i have to say that sweet food impressed me probably more than savoury good - my favourites were cardamon kulfi (very rich ice cream from condensed milk), candied carrots, coconut and condensed milk sweets, syrupie dough balls, peanut and jaggery brittle, airy whisked cream and most of all lassie with pieces of curd on the top. I think most of the deserts i had made this list ;-) and not forgetting the drinks, i indulged myself in the salted lassi and masala ...

Even though this actually happened last night, I had to add it today since I already posted my blog about yesterday. So the woman I thought was Mike's wife was actually his sister! Mike owns a bar called Fossgate Social that we started out at, great bar! They do coffee in the day, and a bar at night. ... of the court where King Henry VIII received his divorce from Catherine of Aragon. The pub is decorated in the style of a pub from the 19th century. It's dark and dimly lit, with a giantic stone fireplace. The walls are littered with paintings of monks and monarchy. We sit outside under the gray sky, but thankfully no rain. It's cool, the wind blows mildly but the air is chilly. As we eat we plot out the next few days.
