I was thinking that maybe I can take another route that wouldn't go through Brazil though it would cost a lot. And was there any way I can catch up with my friends who are already on their way to Santiago? The agent then went to get his supervisor to talk to me. I quickly went on my iPhone and Googled if I needed a visa to enter Brazil for connecting ...

As the fireworks run out we make our way back into the house and poor Pacquette is shaking from fear. The dog is so scared of fireworks (and thunder). I feel so bad for her. Hinesh sits with her and strokes her and talks to her until she calms down. It takes him about 30 mins before she relaxes.

... is it to know that soon, in about a months time, that I will have befriended people that I never even knew existed. Who knows, maybe I'll even have my first relationship. I feel like the possibilities for happy, funny, scary, beautiful, and sad experiences are endless, and I hope that holds true for the whole semester. I have all these plans and fantasies in my head, and I can't wait to see how everything actually plays out. 23 days away! ...
