... Houston about 4:15 and going in was OK, but then we had to drive through and out. That put a crimp in our time, but not too badly. There was only one time when we actually had to stop. By the time we left Houston in the rear view, it was close to 6pm and getting dark, but we kept pushing on.

We arrived at Gulf Coast RV Resort in Beaumont about 7pm and had to hook up in the dark, but we did and got everything inside settled. Now it's time for a good night sleep.

... of asphalt. Crossed the border into Texas & stopped soon after in a place called Beaumont, fairly unremarkable, not that we've seen much of it. Booked into a roadside motel & had Hooters for dinner. All the waitresses were in their hooter's skimpies & there were tv's everywhere with all sorts of sports. ... and found this motel for under $60.

Today we finally settled on a name for our GPS. We named her Victoria. We chose this name as we thought this proper sounding name suited her very 'proper' personality. We also named her after a nice work colleague of ours who she (as in Victoria the GPS) shares similar traits with, as she is forgiving, self assured, and (alittle annoyingly) always right!

Yes, driving long hours does make you alittle crazy!
