... early afternoon it started raining gently at first but on to wind and much rain. Looks like a stay at home night - had a lot of those this fall. Doris was over a couple of times. She will be heading to Florida on the 16th. We stayed home for the day and cooked dinner here. We have almost used the order of Omaha Steaks I had sent here before I arrived. ... out. We ordered tickets online and decided to go into town to pick them up. Parked at Y and walked a couple of miles. Cool out but not bad. Walked back to car and drove to Stoneham for spaghetti at Bacci’s. I had a pumpkin martini and it was very good! Home and relaxed…We probably walked 4 miles today.

... not work. Hemmed 2 pair of Levi’s this morning, did some house things and decided to drive to Independence to visit cousin Mancil and Jennifer. They were home and we talked at least a couple of hours while sitting in their back yard watching hummingbirds, a juvenile woodpecker, several cats, a huge and very fat rabbit and a lot of ants! ... Met a nice Cuban that he had worked with for many years. Annette looked great in a nice fitting sparkly sheath dress! Green looks good too, has lost a lot of weight. As we were leaving talked with a couple and as we were getting our coats they were behind us, then another couple showed up and the guy, for some reason, introduced us to them. ... full and did not even stop. Sometime around 9:15 we finally got a train with room for us. The train was about three times as long as usual so to get off the train we had to walk inside the train to a point where there was a platform outside to walk on into the station.
