      Lovely sail in to Newport this am. This is a city I really want to come back to and stay for a few days. So much to see and do! We went for a walk along the famous "Cliff Walk" a public pathway right along the ocean that is open to all and goes right in front of all the famous mansions. We ended our walk with a tour of the Vanderbilt's home, the Breakers. Great audio tour so you could go at your own pace. Reminded me of Downton ...

Our hearts sank as we were escorted to our table for dinner as the only other couple on the table appeared to be a rather large old woman and her son and we couldn't imagine any lively conversation. Another ancient couple joined us and our spirits sank even lower.
