... walk on and had lots of little tourist shops and the famous Christmas store Kathe Wohlfahrt, but you weren't allowed to take photos inside, (but I did anyway). It was really beautiful
I'll tell you a bit about school, it always begins at 7:50, but we're lucky we only have a 3 min walk. Today was our shortest day because it finished at 12:00, we only had 5 periods (lasting for about 45 mins) but tomorrow we have all 10 periods full, so school ...
... We climbed up 'Bogenberg' the mountain there and had a great view of the Danube and went into a Church up there. There wasn't much time after that, so we went back to school at midday, which was when Julia's classes finished, so we are at home now. Julia's boyfriend has just come over, but left to go back to school a short while ago and Julia is doing homework. (I swear school seems harder here, Julia said she had a Musik test today and another test (Biology ...
Bogen, Bavaria, Germany teiganduketishey all,
I forgot about Salzburg... we went there before Prague... I guess I have put it out of my mind because KB sang the musical the whole time we were there! lol, it was great though...
We got to Salzburg at night and tried to follow the directions to the hotel, but we didn't know if we had to go right or left out of the train station, so KB asked some, what I thought were ...
(61 miles) Today, we rode a little too hard and realized that we probably need to slow down a bit. Its kinda the tortoise and the hare bit. We mostly rode today not a whole lot of sight seeing. Chrissy hit some gravel today and fell of her bike skinning her knee. Also we saw a lady on a bike get hit by a car. I guess it's just one of those days? After our long day we showed up at the less expensive very welcoming canoe/camping place.
Blaibach, Bavaria, Germany randyandchrissy... the sudden hill. Next was a long run towards a very prominent hill with a church on top. The hills are getting a bit closer too. Straubing looked great but was the victim of a shortcut. Progress was so good that I decided to press on and make the most distance possible in the sun. Lunch was in a bus shelter; very handy shelter. The path was basically on or by the dyke so tended to be flat if oddly signposted in a couple of places. It was a fairly normal day but with lots of people ...
waltendorf, bavaria, Germany i_could_walkWe picked Straubing because it is in a pretty part of Bavaria. Our hotel turned out to be at the back of a car hire place a fair way from town - need to pay more attention during the booking I guess. Anyway, the hotel wasn't too bad, though we had to drive into the town. Straubing itself is quite a nice medium ...

Hello everybody!
I seem to have brought the good weather with me. Last night was one of the warmest new years eves on record here. It ended up being 10 degrees for the afternoon and most of the evening. Cori has been really hospitable. We went to a band rehearsal of her band ´´Forget about Aspen´´ which was really interesting. They played a couple of Aussie songs for me and we sang along to some songs by My Chemical Romance, Maroon 5, Jet, and Nsync (the ...
Hi guys. I made it safely to Munich. After 24 hours on planes it´s nice to get some fresh air. I met a couple of people on the plane and watched a few movies too. I even managed to get 3 seats to myself between Singapore and Vienna which was perfect for getting some ...
Munich, Bavaria, Germany sarah.I went to Regensburg on Monday and Tuesday to visit Annie and see her new home. I really like Regensburg. It is the exact same size as Salzburg, but much more quaint and much less touristy. Regensburg has these amazing eis cafes (icecream cafes) all over the place, where they only serve icrecream dishes. And let me tell you....these icecream bowls are a work of art. I mean, the icecream is fantastic, but it is all about the aesthetics. Delicious! And St. Peter ...
Regensburg, Germany hannahb... shop in Salzburg. So that, like, almost makes us famous or something, you know. Friday We decided to take it easy and stay local for us last day in Austrian, so we rented bikes and rode to a local attraction, a river gorge. It was only like 3 miles away, and they have a really nice bike trail system that took us to it. It was a decent attraction, the real value I think was it just gave us a chance to see some of the surrounding country side while not driving at 120 kmh ...
