    ... took another rather nauseating bus to Soppong. Here I took a motor-taxi (which was a terrifying experience) to cave lodge, a really cool hostel in the middle of the jungle where you can stay for 3€ a night. After a couple of hours of doing nothing I joined some people to take a bamboo raft into these crazy caves with gigantic stalagmites and stalactites and hundereds of bats.     ... cool for a starting place in Italy. I spent a day literally walking around the city, only consulting the map once or twice on my way back to work out where I was and where the metro was. It's so cheap to get around, a full day ticket for the Metro in Naples is €1.90 - incredible eh. Unfortunately the Castel di Sant Elmo was closed (you get a 360 view of the city from the top) the day I rocked up, but from the base you still get a pretty banging ...

    Finally drove onto the ferry. Paul completed a 50 point turn to get into the designated space, as we weren't the last car after all.

    ... balconies.I am sure I had seen that in a Sophia Loren movie!! We stopped for lunch in the piazza housing a tall column on top of which is a statue of St Dominic. The church dedicated to him also fronts the square. We dined appropriately at Cafe San Domenico having Insalata of tuna, tomatoes, greens and olives. Fresh and delicious.
