The cool breeze an sound of rushing water was wonderful. 40mins in and about an hour to go, the kids were mounting a mutiny to turn back, but in the end dug deep to do the back half of the big climb. The overgrown ruins looked stunning in the doppled shade and we had some time down near the base of a small waterfall. The view back toward the ocean showed the little town of Amalfi wedged tightly into the green valley the dark blue of the Mediterranean laying in the background. ...
