Lakes District
Had a big sleep. Was going to do a short walk but when we were about to start the rain came pouring in. Arun and I decided to stay at the hostel while Pete went around Rydal and Grasmere. Stratford-upon-Avon and the Lakes
Today was mainly a day for travelling. Breakfast again from the supermarket next to the hostel. Left relatively early for Stratford-upon-Avon. Saw Shakespeare's old family home, the site of his marital home and his grave (inside the local Holy Trinity Church). ... roughly 8 bacon sandwiches in my first 2 days home... safe to say I missed bacon! Ahhhhh well, YUMMY! I managed to rekindle my love of House series 1-3 and Doctor Who season 4, all round a goooood Toussaint! Off back to France on Saturday morning for another 6 weeks before Christmas - wooooooo! xo

Hadrian's wall.
... of the wall a ditch was dug 2 men wide and 1 man deep to stop the Scots attacking forces. Now nearly 2000 years later there are still parts of the wall still standing, although in ruins. We walk along the top of the wall around the fort. Just to stay out of the sheep *****. The wall in parts are still quite tall. In reality the fort was a bit of a disappointment.
