... needed. Sure, we get alone time at home but this was different. Within a few days, we had settled into our pre-baby groove. No need to worry about schedules, making bottles, tiptoeing around because babies are sleeping, cleaning up toys, stepping on toys, changing diapers, putting babies in car seats, carting them around, and preparing food. At Ahukini we saw Pagan Love Song, Donovan's Reef and Six Days Seven Nights. We got out and looked around the area and took photos. The trade winds have returned after four weeks and the breeze is lovely. When we got back on the bus we ordered our lunch of the fish sandwich. Honeymoon in Vegas ...

... Unfortunately its topography, or lack thereof, was the reason for a terrible tragedy. I forget the date but think it was in the '40s that a tsunami swept Hawaii and completely washed over the Ke'anae Pennisula. Of course this was before the tsunami warning systems in place now. Many, many people died and the peninsula was wiped clean - except for this church.

The Ke'anae Congregational Church was built in 1860 of lava rock and coral mortar. It is a pretty ...
