After a good night's rest and a hearty breakfast of pancakes and sausages, we headed to Bahaba (Bar Harbor). This is a very touristy, crowded town, especially since it was close to the 4th of July. Deborah had never had a lobster roll, well we went to this place called Cafe This Way and each had a lobster roll, at US$20 a shot, at these prices, we should have went the "other way". Can you say tourist trap!! We however, did have the best meal of our entire trip at an Italian restaurant ...

... Falls during Blossom Time and add a thousand or so. Cute town, worth a stop, but glad I don't live there. We ended up at Rosalie's Pizza which had the most wonderful, thin crust pizza. In terms of flora and fauna, this mid summer ride was not impressive; perhaps I am spoiled because the Potomac Gorge, where I ride regularly; it's truly "one of the country's most biologically diverse areas" as the NPS brochure says. I suspect much of the animal wildlife goes to higher ground, farther inland in summer; that's what I want to find out when returning as the seasons change in a couple years.
