... of Graceland and check out all the cool Elvis artifacts and exhibitions. Myself and Betina headed for some food at the diner on the car lot of Graceland's. I had a delicious pulled pork burger and chips...totally fattening but hey it's gotta be done I am in the south after all and in the presence of the king. ... it to Peabody Hotel in time to see the ducks at 11 am. The ducks come down from the roof, waddle across the lobby on the red carpet and end up in the fountain, freely swimming around. We were 5 minutes late. The lobby was packed with hotel guests but it was nice to see the festive Christmas decorations.

We ventured over the Beale Street.

Found it completely deserted and way too cold and icy to spend any quality ...

We arrived in Memphis around 6am after another night on the train - it's gradually getting easier to sleep (very gradually). Our taxi driver took us on a bit of a tour of the city which was great, gave us the history behind the arcade, Lorraine motel, Beale street and sun studios. After a bit of a power nap we went for breakfast at the arcade (Memphis' oldest diner) and had French toast with eggs ...

... a very emotional moment in this building, and I have to admit visiting his home and seeing and listening to him is a very overwhelming experience. Jack Daniels is located in the town of Lynchburg, and I hazard a guess there have been a lynching or two here in the past.
