    ... that turned off and became a volcano out of which Pele, the god of fire, appeared. Pele told of the golden people of Hawaii. There was also a Samoan Fire dancer. The Maori women did poi dancing in which they swung tethered weights rhythmically, and with weights that were on fire. It was all over too soon.     ... had papaya, mango and pineapple in it. Scrumptious! The third time there were free Mai Tais which Larry and Derek had but I just wanted water. We were getting really tired by this time.     Princeville has a shopping center with all the essentials needed for a successful vacation: Foodland, sandal hut, shaved ice stand, Hawaii Life realty office (for day dreaming), Ace, postal office with minimal hours and staffed by one energetic employee, and several restaurants.     ... a smaller version of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. When we arrived at Hanapepe, the rain had eased so we stopped to stretch our legs and view the town. It was a charming little place surrounded by mountains, with a small church, little cafés, souvenir shops and art galleries.
