      ... on a smaller scale except it had more greens in the colors. It started out as a volcanic rift, and then erosion took over to create the canyon. Coming back we stopped at a spot where there was a blowhole in the rocks. Then we drove through a beautiful resort area full of condos and timeshares along the sea. We were back to the ship in time for lunch. This evening we are dining in the Italian restaurant.

      ... This is a dirt road and a wild and raw part of the island. Finally home where it was windy and cold. After showering we were off to the Lemongrass for dinner. Usually a good meal and good experience but tonight were overrun with wait persons-every couple of minutes and they grabbed our plates away before we had laid our forks down! Not the pleasurable time we have had there in the past. Forecast is for same wet and windy for the rest of our time ...

      ... in my luggage….I went for a 5K walk along the Pedestrian/Bike Path along the ocean front and then enjoyed some Shave Ice. Today was actually a relaxing-chill-sleep in kind of day. Needed that….it was nice! Later on I went to Wailua Falls. These tiered waterfalls are 113 feet in height, and are very close to Kapa’a and only took about 20 minutes or so to get there. ...

      ... here and lounging on the beach - but the sand was not very soft as there was a lot of broken coral and shells on the beach. I kept on my flip flops on just to be on the safe side.

      I stopped at Hanalei Valley Lookout - it was at this place where the feral chickens and roosters like to crowd around your car to find shade. When I pulled in, the car beside me had 5 roosters around, beside and underneath the car…..but the driver was not aware. ...
